By comparing the experiences of different types of workers\, families\, and communities\, this volume reveals how race\, gender\, and privilege affected people in varied and sometimes unexpected ways.  \nAbout the speaker\n \nDr. Isabel Campbell  \nDr. Isabel Campbell is a senior historian at the Department of National Defence\, an adjunct research professor in the history department at Carleton University\, and a senior fellow at the Bill Graham Centre for International History at the University of Toronto.
