There’s so much to do over March Break (March 16-20) in the Village of Carp. We’re excited to share with you daily activities, events, and more so you to enjoy a full day trip and/or a fun-filled night out for any age! Be sure to look for special promotions too.

10:30am – 4:00pm: Tour the Diefenbunker Museum

Come explore Ottawa’s most unique historic site. Guided tours are offered at 11am and 2pm (book online to secure your spot!). Pick up a free audio guide and come explore this 100,000 square foot underground bunker!
We recommend giving yourself at least 1 hour to tour the museum.
Ice Cream in Winter – a True Canadian Experience!

Monday March 16
10:30am – 11:15am: What’s Bugging You?
Carp Branch Ottawa Public Library, 3911 Carp Road.
Radical Science invites you to come along on an insect safari where you will meet creepy crawlies from around the world. Learn the honeybees waggle dance to show your friends where the food is and handle some real live specimens. Don’t forget to stick around to sample some critter delicacies. Ages 4-12. Cost: Free. Celebrate St Patty’s Day with live music and soul food! Cal Cummings and Mike Krawchuck will play from 12-3pm and Howard Hayes and the Mountain Tay will play from 4pm – 7pm.

1:30pm – 3:00pm: Map Your World with the Ottawa Art Gallery

Map your own world! This multi-media art workshop will focus on the ways of producing and altering shapes and forms. Using ink washes, tracing, cutting.

Carp Ridge Ecowellness Camp

Join Carp Ridge Ecowellness Centre for a fun and adventure-filled March Break Camp. Children will engage in outdoor activities like trail walks, scavenger hunts, taffy making, fire building, snow soccer and snowshoeing. Gambit Music Academy Camp
