GO UNDERGROUND! Join our guides on a tour of this once secret bunker! Live Cold War history by visiting the place where Canada's government would have come in time of nuclear war. Tours of this unique facility take visitors through a time warp to 1960s era government rooms, living quarters and cryptographic areas. Visitors enjoy a guided tour of the entire bunker, over 100,000 square feet in size, four storeys underground. Some of the focal points will include the Prime Minister’s suite, the War Cabinet Room, the CBC Radio studio, the Bank of Canada vault, and the Emergency Government Situation Centre. The museum is open to the general public, tourist and school groups by guided tour. Please click on the options on the left-hand bar to find out more about how you can visit us and what you'll find here. NEW: “From 60 to 500 in Two Years or Less” has reached its Goal! The Diefenbunker, Canada’s Cold War Museum, is pleased to announce that we have reached our fundraising goal for our Building Capacity project! The project which began on September 14, 2009 will be complete by June 28, 2010. Our visitor capacity will increase from 60 to 500 people and the museum will offer self-guided and audio tours to augment our guided tour program, which continues uninterrupted.
