The Diefenbunker, Canada’s Cold War Museum, welcomed a full house for a special screening of Passchendale as part of Genie Week in the National Capital Region.
Come celebrate Mother's Day underground! In order to commemorate the women in our lives, the Diefenbunker is offering a specialty tour that focuses on women's experiences at the bunker during the Cold War and on popular female Cold War figures. Mini-hand treatments and desserts will be offered to children and mothers to create some quality pampering time. A crafting space will be available for children to make Mother's Day cards and lovely bouquets, if you want to enjoy some relaxation time on your own. Marcia Lea, Ottawa's very own Cold War artist will be displaying her art for people to admire, discuss, and purchase.
The Diefenbunker will be hosting the National Historic Sites Alliance of Ontario Annual Conference October 5-7, 2009.
The Diefenbunker was filled to capacity for the opening of Cold War Berlin: Life at the Breaking Point, including special guest His Excellency Matthias Hoepfner, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The Easter Bunny has been busy at the Diefenbunker! With hundreds of places to hide in our 100,000 square foot bunker, we need your help to find all of the Easter eggs. Come out for our Easter Egg hunt and make an Easter craft! Another crop of young sleuths graduate from the fun-filled training at Spy Camp.
