West Carleton Month— February 2009

February 2009 is West Carleton Month at the Diefenbunker!

The Diefenbunker, Canada’s Cold War Museum is pleased to invite you to a free tour (regular cost is $14/adult).

Why are we doing this?

    1)    It’s February and we want to show you some love, plus there are no windows, so you can’t see the snow outside (and it’s nice and warm inside);
    2)    It’s our way of encouraging everyone who says “I’ve got to go do that some day” to come visit; and,
    3)    It’s a great way to get people interested in this fascinating place!

What’s the catch?

Your mission, if you choose to accept it (we’re big on the spy theme around here), will  be to spread the word about this amazing place that’s right in your neighbourhood—or perhaps we should say under your neighbourhood. We know that word-of-mouth is the best form of advertising. And, once you’ve experienced this unique museum, you may be inspired to make a donation to our capital campaign. You don’t have to, but we’ll be happy if you do. You can download a donation form at the bottom of this page.

How does it work?

You simply have to call to make a reservation (613-839-0007) and mention that you qualify for a free “West Carleton Month” tour. Cut out the coupon that can be found in the West Carleton Review Weekender or EMC (West Carleton) and bring it with you when you come. Please note that tours are by reservation only.

The small print:

Tours are by reservation only, as space permits, on a first-come, first-served basis. Four people per household. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Offer valid in the month of February 2009 only, during regular museum hours for residents of West Carleton.
