Scavenger Hunts at the Diefenbunker Museum!

Take part in our Rex Zero Workshop (15 minutes) and then a spy themed scavenger hunt of the museum (45 minutes)!

Rex Zero Headquarters is an interactive exhibition/ classroom dedicated to the world of fictional character Rex Zero. Working in collaboration with Perth, Ontario writer Tim Wynne-Jones (who has received awards and accolades for his Cold War children's novels- Rex Zero and the End of the World and Rex Zero: King of Nothing), the Diefenbunker recreated Rex's world in order to provide a youth perspective on the Cold War in Canada. There are three learning pods in this Exhibit: Rex's room, downtown Ottawa, and a 1960s classroom.

This is a fun and interactive way children will learn about the Diefenbunker. Youth will see toys from the 1960s, learn about the Cold War, talk about what they would bring into their own home bunker, and solve coded messages!

Then they will get a mini tour of the museum and go on a spy scavenger hunt.

The cost for this is $6.00 per youth. For every 7 youth, it is $8.00 per adult, and after that it is $12.50.
